Original era manufacture and photography. A very nice identified grouping purchased at the last SOS show from a well known, and respected German militaria dealer.The lot includes award documents with the accompanying awards for the EK2, General Assault Badge and Wound Badge in Silver. Also, a very clear studio photograph of the recipient, Leutnant Burhard Cramer von Clausbruch, wearing those very same awards.Leutnant von Clausbruch served with the 269th Artillery Regiment, which formed part of the 269th Infantry Division. The 269th served in Northern France in 1940, participated in Operation Barbarossa in 1941; forming part of Army Group North.In 1943 in was sent to Norway to rest and refit, being stationed in the Bergan area for more than a year. It returned to the European mainland and fought in the Battle of the Colmar Pocket in late 1944.January 1945 saw the division sent to Southern Poland, and was in the area south of Dresden when Berlin fell. Many of the 269ths survivors managed to reach the Western Allies and escaped Soviet captivity.
