Original era manufacture. Small brown leather coin purse (4.75 x 2.75 inches) with an Edelweiss, shoulder strap numbers 48, and an NCO rank pip on one side. The 48th Anti-Tank Battalion served with the 3rd Mountain Division during WWII, so that might be the unit represented here.
