Original period manufacture. Standard patternPolice bayonet with a black leather scabbard and a black patent leather dress bayonetfrog.Chrome fittings throughout with a un-slotted pommel. The blade isbright with a clear Horster name on the reverse ricasso. Along the length of the blade on both sides, is evidence of old cleaned corrosion, the blade has not been sharpened however and is full length.Decorative guard and eagle head pommel of nickel, with real staghorn grips and an aluminum Police eagle set into one side. Stamped into the reverse of the guard is SDVI 524 (Stralsund Polizeiverwaltung).Sound black leather bodied scabbard with nickel fittings, the throat bears the same unit markings as the guard. The black patent leather frog shows wear and use with loose stitching on each side.
