Original era manufacture. This is a project of sorts, but this daggerprovides a very nice base for restoration. Dark patina to the gilded brass fittings with typical denting encountered on the scabbard body. The blade is clean with a nice contrast with the etched panels, Eickhorn logo on the reverse of the ricasso. There is a small crack in the grip surface on the obverse side just above the crossguard, with some minor surface bumping from time and use. The twisted wire binding is intact with no fraying. The eagle pommel has not been overtightened and sits properly atop the grip. The most glaring issue with the dagger is that its locking button and catch are missing. Sound old dagger otherwise.
