Original era manufacture. Double sided, all cotton construction flag with a printed black swastika on a white cotton disc. Burlap type hoist material with an internal rope hoist with two suspension loops. Very clean condition, minor wear overall. At top center, next to the burlap hoist, is a 1 inch slice in the cloth. A friend of ours, who purchased this flag from the widow of the American GI who brought it home, was told that her husband stuck the blade of his bayonet into the flag, held it aloft and walked down a line of recently captured Germans shouting "Hitler Kaput!, Hitler Kaput!". Neat little WWII anecdote, comes in the cardboard box she store it in for many years.
