Original era manufacture. A very striking helmet, of a pattern used by German aviators during WWI.Black gloss finish to the leather body, with a thickly padded comb and rim. Large format, first pattern eagle of alloy with a black painted swastika and no NSKK lettering.The interior of the helmet is leather, displaying a size mark of 57 and a makers name Busbe Mainz.The helmet is basically sound, shows some scuffing to the padded bumper, and the neck flap has been removed by a previous owner. Normal age and wear overall.
