German WWII NSKK Dagger, RZM & Logo Marked Transition, Henckels

Original era manufacture. Found at a local estate sale is this transitional NSKK enlisted dagger displaying both its RZM number and J.A.Henckels factory trademark. In addition, the date of 1938 appears. The blade is very clean with lots of original cross grain polish visible. Sadly, at some point, clumsy handling of the dagger resulted in the tip of the blade being broken. The wood grip is intact with both emblems present. Chromed zinc fittings with a good deal of staining from age. There is a stress crack on each side of the upper fitting. Handpainted black steel scabbard body, looks to have been done decades ago. Upper and lower scabbard fittings are present with matching staining to the guards. All retaining screws are present.
