Original era manufacture. Transitional issue dagger with plated fittings and a maker mark of Eickhorn and RZM 7/66 1939 on the ricasso. Nice crossgrain polish on the blade surface witha nice contrast to the motto. The reverse of the blade displays some scattered spotting and staining from age, no evidence of over-cleaning.Sound original wood grip without cracks or chips, aluminum eagle set into the grip with an enameled SA emblem above. Plated upper and lower guards with no evidence of peeling to the surface.Original paint finish to the scabbard body, with plated fittings and typical dentingto the ball. All scabbard fitting screws are present.
