Original era manufacture. Purchased together at the last SOS, is this Catholic Mass card, and stamped aluminum identity disc to a soldier in the 8th Panzer Regiment. The Mass card shows a clear image of a young tank soldier wearing the ribbon for the EK in a buttonhole and below, what appears to be the ribbon for the Russian Front medal. The details of his life printed on the card state his birth year to be 1923, receiving his death wound in 1944, while serving in the Carpathians. Now here is where this gets interesting, the identity disc, was issued to a man serving with the 2nd company, of Panzer Regiment 8, which in turn, formed part of the 15th Panzer Division, destroyed in Tunisia with the surrender of the Afrika Korps in 1943. No doubt a married set, but both items nicely reflect the service of the German tank troops during WWII.
