Original era manufacture. Handsewn, Pioneer Signal Blitz and Gefreiter Chevron on a ragged section of feldgrau wool material. Shows normal age and wear. This piece marks the last item from the collection of uniform removed insignia we purchased last May. It in many ways is the most interesting, not simply because it has two pieces of insignia sewn to it, but it also illustrates the care one must take in purchasing "cut-off" insignia. The collector from whom we purchased these items pointed out that you have to be alert to the fact that some will simply "add" a common insignia piece to a section of uniform material, and voila!, you've just increased the value. With that in mind, he was diligent in pointing out that on this particular piece of insignia, there is a different cloth color to be seen behind the Signal Blitz, which contrasts against the remainder of the cloth which was exposed to wear and the elements.
