Original era manufacture. This interesting Police enlisted buckle was recently purchased from the son of the GI who brought the buckle home from WWII. Standard aluminum one piece buckle with a leather adjusting tab, clearly maker marked and dated 1939. The buckle is still attached to several sections of a white painted enlisted belt, which appears to have been made from a synthetic material, which has dried over the years, cracked and then lost. It makes for a striking display as is
