Original era manufacture. A very early quality bayonetdisplaying a high level of fit and finish of prewar manufacture. Simple serial, or property number appearing on the guard and scabbard throat of 55 with a Police eagle proof on the blade spine. The Police proof and the Alcoso trademark on the blade ricasso are the only markings to be seen on the bayonet. Satin blue finish blade with typical finish wear near the tip, no other issues to mention. Mix of blue finish and steel patina to the guard and pommel, lock button works properly. Dark plum bakelite grips showing typical age and wear with no damage. The scabbard shows a nice level of remaining finish, throat screw is present, with some light denting tobe found on both sides of the body.
