Original era manufacture. Issue quality Police enlisted overseas cap with original sewn insignia. Police green wool with contrasting green piping to the turn up. Gray cotton, issue quality lining which has had a square shaped portion of the lining removed. Now that's a curiosity, why would someone do that. A couple of possibilities that come to my mind are...someone needed some patching material, or, someone wanted to remove the makers infomation, or individuals name so as not be be associated with the former Third Reich.
