Original era manufacture. A Weimar era Police Shako which was upgraded during theThird Reich era with the addition of the large winged police eagle. Black fiber body with its original chinstrap intact. There are extra holes behind the eagle where the old municipal insignia was mounted at one time. The helmet is in generally good condition but the stitching around the top has rotted away andneeds to be redone as it will lift off. No field badge. Purchased from the granddaughter of the GI who brought it home.
