Original period publication. Sepia image, oneof a series of postcards entitled "Unsere Waffen-SS" (Our Waffen SS). Each measures 105 x 148 mm. Unused reverse, displaying normal handling and wear. Slightly curved from long storage in an envelope.The image depicts a Waffen-SS officer in full uniform and wearing the Iron Cross 1st Class. The man has been identified as Kurt "Panzer" Meyer, later commander of the Hitler Jugend Division. Condemned as a War Criminal after WWII, and sentenced to death, for his part in the murder of Canadian POW's in Normandy.His sentence was later reduced, and was released from prison in 1954. He died in 1961,
