Original era manufacture. A very finely wrought miniature coal scuttle ashtray of hammered copper, with a clever bale handle which dumps cigarette butts into the scuttle. Stamped into the base of the scuttle is; "German WWII Trench Art Ashtray. Made by German Prisoners of War,517, Alizay, France February 20, 1946.Measures 60 x 70 mm, dark copper patina finish.
