German WWII RAD Enlisted Hewer, Ed Wusthof Manufacture

Original era manufacture. Standard pattern hewer worn by enlisted personnel of the RAD. Blade shows a clean surface with an old attempt at sharpening to the edge, clear makers marking on the ricasso, Ed.Wusthof. Heavy nickel silver guard and eagle-head pommel. Real stag horn grip plates. Dent free steel bodied scabbard with original paint and silvered fittings, with all fitting screws present. There is wear and age to the paint but would say that about 40% of it remains intact, the remainder being a pleasing steel patina finish. The blade fits the scabbard with a solid "click", no doubt due to the quality of the overall product. Overall it shows wear, but is an honest example throughout.
