Original era manufacture. Standard pattern hewer worn by enlisted personnel of the RAD. The blade is clean showing typical age and wear with the Eickhorn trademark on it's ricasso. There is some scattered spotting and staining to it's surface and the tip is very slightly blunted.There is a one inch band of at the base of the blade from an old plating attempt. The scabbard body is dent free, old and clumsy attempt at a repaint with chrome plated metal fittings. Real stag grips with achrome plated guard and pommel. While not a jewel it still remains a representative piece and an original RAD Hewer.
