Original era manufacture. Standard pattern hewer worn by enlisted personnel of the Reichsarbeitdienst. The blade shows a clean surface with traces of original polish and an old period sharpening to the cutting edge. There is a nick in the blade spine on the reverse side, Krebs makers logo on the ricasso. Nice plated guard and beaked pommel with real stag grips. The scabbard retains all of it's fitting screws and is dent free. There is paint loss to the scabbard body on the sides with a center panel of black enamel remaining on both sides of the scabbard. Overall a clean example showing typical age and wear.
