Original period manufacture. BeVo style golden yellow cotton embroidery on black backing. Appears to have been cut from a roll. Saarbrucken, the industrial heart of the Saar region, was captured by US Forces in late March 1945 after heavy fighting, and a stubborn defense offered by the German 70th Division.
