Original era manufacture. Service quality hat in dark gray wool with grayish-white piping and a medium gray wool band. Army style aluminum cockade and an enameled DRK emblem above.Enlisted quality chinstrap, orange cotton lining with an intact sweatshield, with a thin leather sweatband with a small tear on one side.No moth damage to report, and the form of the hat is sound, not crushed or damaged. The patent leather visor is made from a soft, malleable leather, almost like a crusher visor, with typical bubbling to the surface from attic storage.  There is a small portion of the edge missing on the right corner edge.
