Original era manufacture. This is an interesting example, standard DRK enlisted hewer with a sawback edge with a Ges.Gesch. marking on the obverse ricasso. Normally these are seen with no markings at all, however, the most obvious feature of this hewer is the clipped point. It is very well done but likely didn't leave the factory this way, measuring now 10.5 inches in length, with the edge lightly sharpened. The guard and pommel are sound with no issues, mostly damage free plastic grip plateswith a small chip in the edge on the obverse near the pommel. The scabbard body retains about 30% of its original finish, fairly dent free, although the frog stud is pushed downwards a bit, all fitting screws are present.
