Original era manufacture. Standard pattern enlisted hewer, no maker mark as is the norm. The blade is bright, but displays evidence of clouding and staining from old cleaned surface corrosion. Some black freckling remains, but no pitting. The guard and pommel are sound, no cracks or oxidation. Sound black plastic grips without cracks or chips. The scabbard body is dent-free, has an old repaint, and the two lower scabbard fitting screws are missing. Original black leather frog showing wear and use.
