Original era manufacture. A clean blade with lots of original cross-grain polish remaining, just a touch of clouding to the surface, no surface corrosion, standard sawback spine with a square tip.Plated finish guard and pommel with no lifting of the plated surface and no zinc corrosion, nice detail to the eagle and cross. Damage free black plastic grip plates.Dent free steel scabbard with a gloss black paint over a blue under-finish. The paint is flaking away and revealing the blue finish beneath. All of the scabbard fitting screws are present, touch of surface corrosion on the edge of the bottom fitting. Comes with a nice pliable leather belt frog.
