Original era manufacture. Standard pattern enlisted hewer, no maker mark as is the norm. The blade is bright, no corrosion issues, just some minor clouding from age on the surface. The metal guard and pommel are sound, no cracks or oxidation, with a nice luster to the surface. Black painted steel scabbard body which looks to be an old re-paint.Plated throat and chape, all securing screws are present. Wear to the paint surface on the scabbard stud. Black leather frog shows wear and use, all rivets are present, stitching is strong.
