Original era manufacture. A clean blade with lots of original cross-grain polish remaining, no surface corrosion, standard sawback spine with a square tip. No makers mark as usual. Plated finish guard and pommel with no lifting of the plated surface, small touch of zinc corrosion on the reverse guard oval. Nice detail to the eagle and cross. Damage free black plastic grip plates.Dent free steel scabbard with original gloss black paint, of which most remains. All of the scabbard fitting screws are present. Comes with a black leather bayonet belt frog, maker marked jkh and dated jkh 41.
