Original era manufacture. Issue rifle cleaning kit for the K98 rifle. Pressed steel tobacco can with a natural metal surface finish. Maker marked 64 with a waffenamt proof of WaA20, (Gustav Appel, Maschinenwerk). Soldiers last name, Blomman, scratched into the surface. The contents include, linked pull-through, steel oiler, and both cleaning brushes, the floor plate tool is present, and in the bottom compartment, a section of braided cotton waste. The floor plate tool is also maker marked 64, and the linked pull-through is stamped WaA20. About 90% of the original ordnance blue paint finish remains intact.
