Original era manufacture. This bayonet is an example of a late war variant with riveted, rather than screw-type grip attachments. Near matching numbers 3096 cc to the blade and 3090 cc on the scabbard throat, factory error, perhaps, as the finish and wear match each other very well. Nice dark red bakelite grips, with faint blue mixed with steel patina finish to the metal surfaces. Lots of milling marks on the blade attesting to its late war manufacture. Scarce variant to find.
