Original era manufacture. Standard model bayonet with a brown leather frog and scabbard body for Rural Police. The blade is quite clean with a very minor amount of plating loss near the tip. Nice chromed pommel and guard with a proper bayonet slot and working lock button. The scabbard stitching remains quite sound with a nice lustre to the leather. Tightly wrapped around the top of the frog is an original knot showing minimal fraying and wear to the strap. Matching color brown leather frog with a Berlin makers mark and date of 1938. These have always been a favorite of ours, this one is a very nice example.
