Original era manufacture. Prewar production by the famous firm of Elite Diamant, with a 39 date on the blade spine. The blade edge is lightly sharpened, with most of the original finish remaining on the surface.Mix of steel patina and blue finish on the guard and pommel, dark plum bakelite grips in good repair. Clear waffenamt proofs on the pommel.Mix of steel patina finish and blue on the relatively dent-free scabbard; the throat screw is present with a makers code of cqh (Clemen & Jung) and date of 40. The original serial number has been struck out, and renumbered 1962.
