Original era manufacture. A clean example of the WWII S84/98 bayonet, maker marked and dated crs 44 (Weyersberg), matching serial numbers 2281. Nice mix of original blue and steel patina finish on the blade, with steel patina finish on the scabbard, guard and pommel. No real corrosion issues, no denting to the scabbard, minor sharpening to the blade edge. Sound mounted pattern leather frog. Just an honest example of a GI souvenired WWII German bayonet. Purchased from the hands of the man whose GI uncle brought it home from WWII.
