Original era manufacture. Standard S84/98 bayonet with a fair amount of the original blue finish remaining. Maker marked J.Sch on the ricasso, with a 40 date on the spine. Two clear waffenamt proofs on the pommel WaA655, with old cleaned surface corrosion in evidence. Dark plum bakelite grips in good order.The blade is clean, displaying a mix of steel patina and blue finish. There is a very slight bend to the blade at the ricasso.The scabbard is made by ASW (Horster), and displays a mix of patina an blue finish. Light scattered denting along its length; the throat screw is present.
