Original era manufacture. A very clean example of a mid-war produced S84/98 bayonet maker marked cof (Eickhorn) and dated 43. The serial numbers do not match, however the maker code and date do match. Matt gray factory finish to all metal components, with most of the original finish remaining intact. Very light scattered surface corrosion but no pitting. The steel scabbard retains its throat screw, with some very shallow surface denting, more felt than seen. Sound, dark plum bakelite grips.
