Original period manufacture. A very clean example of the WWII German Wehrmacht service bayonet for the K98 rifle. Mismatched as many are found today, the blade is coded and dated clc 41 (Herder 1941) serial number 4299, the scabbard is maker marked Mundlos serial 7825. Most of the original satin blue finish remains on the blade, thinning towards the point. Mounted pattern black leather frog, all rivets are present, pommel strap is functioning. Dent free blue steel scabbard with lots of finish remaining.
