Original era manufacture. A clean example with both the blade and scabbard marked and dated Eickhorn 1940, or cof 40. Satin blue finish on the blade with no corrosion issues, and a sharp point. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, dark plum bakelite grips. Blue steel scabbard with throat screw, no real corrosion issues, has a dent on the reverse about midway down. Clean bayonet overall.
