Original era manufacture. An overall clean, matching serial number bayonet, made by Heller with a 38 blade date on the spine. Most of the satin blue finish remains on the blade, with wear near the tip, and bumps and dings from service use. The edge has been lightly sharpened for service use.Dark plum bakelite grips in good repair, mix of blue finish and steel patina to the guard and pommel. The scabbard retains its proper throat screw, is mostly dent-free, and has a rough texture finish from light surface corrosion and blue. No pitting that I can see. Sound black leather mounted pattern frog with four aluminum rivets.
