Original era manufacture. Later war manufacture bayonet which has matching serial numbers blade to scabbard 7924d, and maker marked and dated, ab 44 (Mundlos). The bayonet is very clean, lots of original blue finish left with a nice looking set of dark red bakelite grips. There is some wear to the finish near the tip and some scattered wear to the cutting edge. Unusual brown leather frog with very sound stitching.
