Original era manufacture. Early war production bayonet bearing the name Clemon & Jung on the ricasso and a year date of 40 on the spine. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 7420a. Mix of satin blue finish and steel patina to the blade surface, decent wood grips with typical dings and dents, flashguard has been hammered on a bit. Steel and blue finish mix on the pommel. The scabbard body is dent free but displays a postwar black paint finish. Original dismounted pattern frog which shows a tear in the leather at the top of the stud opening.
