Original era manufacture. Matching numbers blade to scabbard 6341g, with the Eickhorn name on the ricasso and scabbard throat, 40 date on the blade spine. Satin blue finish to the blade showing runner wear to the finish near the tip. Dark plum colored bakelite grips which are free from damage. The guard and pommel have a very light dusting of surface corrosion but most should go away with a light cleaning. Blue finished scabbard with one small shallow dent on the reverse. Mounted pattern frog with some surface dryness to the pommel strap. All four aluminum rivets are in place. Normal age and wear, should clean up to be a pretty nice bayonet.
