Original era manufacture. Standard German WWII S84/98 bayonet made by Horster with a 39 date on the spine. On the guard are German Kriegsmarine property markings, N0297K. Dark plum grips in good repair. Sometime in the past a previous owner decided that this bayonet needed a chrome finish applied. Maybe being a Navy bayonet it might have been a rust preventative!!!   No scabbard.
