Original era manufacture. Clean bayonet with an even steel patina to the metal surfaces. Traces of the original blue finish remain on the blade which is unsharpened and without any nicks in the edge. Nice pair of dark plum bakelite grips, operable lock button on the pommel. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 6151f and maker coded and dated 42 fnj (Alexander Coppel). Scabbard is pretty much dent free, just needs a light bath. Well used black leather frog in basically sound condition, stitching is not loose, all of the rivets are present, just some surface cracking to the pommel strap.
