Original era manufacture. A very clean wartime bayonet with matching serial numbers to the blade and scabbard, 1438ww and maker coded and dated 43 asw (Horster). Nice blue finish overall with an operable lock button and scabbard throat screw. Very nice dark red bakelite grips. The steel scabbard is dent free and retains most of its original finish, just a touch of light surface corrosion on the reverse. Mounted to the bayonet at the time of our purchase is this late-war black leather frog. The pommel straps have been trimmed away, otherwise it is quite sound.
