Original era manufacture. A clean, matching bayonet, showing a satin blue finish on the blade surface, with matching numbers blade to scabbard 9751. Maker marked Coppel on the ricasso and scabbard throat, with a 1939 date on the scabbard, and 39 on the spine. Finish wear to the blade surface but no corrosion issues. Steel patina finish to the guard, pommel and flash guard, with dark plum bakelite grips. Dent free steel scabbard showing a mix of cleaned surface corrosion and blue, the scabbard throat screw is present.
