Original era manufacture. A mid war example by Staatliche Waffenfabrik, Chatellerault, France (jwh code) and dated 1942. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 6280h, The scabbard body has a single dent just below the frog stud and shows a mix of steel patina and blue. The blade has a very nice surface with most of the finish remaining, the tip is slightly rounded. Nice dark plum bakelite grips with normal, light service wear. The pommel and guard show a mix of steel patina and blue. The lock button works properly. Scarce maker.
