Original era manufacture. A mid war example by Staatliche Waffenfabrik, Chatellerault, France (jwh code) and dated 1943. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 2921, The scabbard body is dent-free and shows a mix of steel patina and surface corrosion. The blade has a very nice surface with most of the finish remaining, the tip is slightly rounded. Decent wood grips with normal, light service wear. The pommel and guard show a mix of steel patina and surface corrosion. The lock button works properly. Scarce maker.
