Original era manufacture. A late war production K98 bayonet with riveted grips, maker marked and dated 44sgx (Horster) on the ricasso, serial number 9813 hh.Mix of original finish and light surface corrosion to the metal portions, the blade has been shortened about 1/2 inch.Not the handsomest knife in the drawer, but still a riveted grip K98 bayonet.
