Original era manufacture. A very clean example of the WWII German Wehrmacht service bayonet, which does not match by maker and date, Berg & Co with a 1937 date on the spine.Mix of original blue finish and steel patina remains to the blade, the edge is unsharpened and no corrosion issues; the point is slightly rounded. Mix of blue & steel patina finish remains on  the guard, pommel, with damage free, dark plum bakelite grips.The blue steel scabbard has surface denting on both sides, with some very light scattered surface corrosion, the scabbard throat screw is present, maker marked 41 ddi.Nice clean bayonet.
