Original era manufacture. Standard Wehrmacht service bayonet of WWII for the K98 rifle. The blade is clean, unsharpened, with some scattered, light surface corrosion on the surface, maker marked and dated, 41ffc (Herder) on the ricasso.Dark plum bakelite grips in good repair, denting to the flashguard. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, the lock button works properly.Very shallow scattered surface denting to the steel scabbard, with cleaned surface corrosion evident. Scabbard throat screw is present, dated 1937.
