Original era manufacture. What we have is a pre-1937 Herder manufactured, S/240 marked, S84/98 bayonet with a 43 asw marked scabbard. The bayonet and scabbard are complete, throat screw, lock mechanism, wood grips no real corrosion issues. The project aspect of the rig is repairing the abysmal sharpening attempt by a previous owner on the satin blue finished blade. This individual should never be allowed access to power tools without adult supervision.
