Original era manufacture. A very clean condition WWII German K98 service bayonet, the blade produced by Eickhorn (cof42) and the scabbard by Paul Weyersberg (crs42). Most of the original blue finish remains on the blade and scabbard, with dark plum bakelite grips. The bayonet has seen post-WWII Warsaw Pact use, with a hand stamped serial number on the guard and scabbard stud. Faint waffenamt proofs remain on the pommel, with a very clear proof mark remaining on the scabbard ball. The scabbard throat screw is in place, but the screw slot has been enlarged. Nice clean bayonet.
